McKinley School Reviews

New school building since 2003 with indoor gym and nice classrooms. Very active PTA with wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Regarding the April 9, 2008 post, all the Faifield elementary schools read, read, read. Many students do not bring home homework, as teachers give time in class to complete the 'class' work that was not finished. In addition, there is the Board of Education's 'lets not overwork our children and cause tears' syndrome. Most teachers show parents the child's work only at conferences unless there is some concern. At this point teachers DO contact the parents. However, parents must be active too! This is an incredible school and is not below any other school in town! By-the-way, elementary grades are VERY subjective. It all changes once they are out. Thanks.

Teachers are terrible ! They are not sending homework to students. They just letting the students to read and read. Are teachers lazy? And secondly they don't show the quiz result. How could a parent know that his or her child is doing well? It seems to me the teachers of this school is just guessing or estimating the grade on the report card.

Beautiful New Building. The school treats our children like family. Wonderful Diversity. Top notch PTA.
